NASM CPT is accredited through the National Commission for Certifying Agencies.

To take the NASM-CPT exam, you need to have a high school diploma or an equivalent diploma. You can use the General Education Development diploma (GED) if your high school diploma is not accepted. American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers recognises GED diploma as equivalent. A current CPR and AED certificate is also required. It is also important to note that you must have hands-on training in these fields to pass the exam.

ACE offers self study materials

ACE offers self help materials for the NCCA/NCPS and ACE-CPT examinations. These materials cost $399 and include exam fees as well as numerous prep resources. You can either purchase the self-study material as a single item or in a set. The Pro+ package includes all the study materials needed for the exam. Pro-advantage also offers an online course on fitness mathematics.


The NETA certification is valid for two years

NETA is an educational and training organization dedicated to providing quality education. NETA has certified more than 120,000 fitness professionals. You can prepare for the NETA exam with their two-day seminar and self-study materials. The NETA personal trainer exam can be taken for $249. After passing the exam, you must complete 20 continuing education credits.

CCN is an independent certifying agency of NAMSS

The Certification Commission of NAMSS is an independent arm of NAMSS responsible for administering and developing certification exams. In that it sets standards for certification exams across the country, the CCN is very similar to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Joint Commission. These standards must be reviewed at least every five years. Certification examinations developed by CCN are standardized, and they hold equal validity and reliability.
